"My work takes many forms… I
am a dabbler, an explorer. I love the process of creation no matter what
form it takes, be it photography, pencil, acrylic, oil, bronze. But the
first time I placed my hands in the clay I knew I was home. I am very
tactile and love creating interesting forms of texture in my work. For
me, the greatest complement a person can give is when I am speaking with
them over a piece and they unselfconsciously start running their fingers
over the work. I love to watch someone turn a piece over in their hands,
feeling the weight, the nature of the work - their fingers tracing the
paths that mine once did. That is my goal… to create succulence for not
just the eyes, but the hands as well." - JC Nolan
