Christopher Newhard

Chris Newhard graduated in 1998 with a M.F.A. in painting from the New York Academy of Art, Graduate School of Figurative Art. Using the same range of tones familiar in his landscape painting, Newhard skillfully executes handsome figure paintings from his studio. The models both in repose and/or narrative are harmonically synthesized with tranquil, low-key color harmony accompanied with diffused and diminished lighting.
